“I need a super hero, a foreign element to get me free from the cage (family) I’m in”, huh!
This is the most Obnoxious thought process or concept that girls of our Area and Era have been engraved with.
Girls or for that matter every individual should be giving the education to differenciate between good from bad, they MUST be taught to earn their means of living, on their own and then; be left alone.
We must realize, understand and accept that they don’t need our help or us being their savior. Let them make mistakes and sit in the back seat in their life- (Don’t be the back seat driver), just be there. Silently enjoy their choices, their thought process, their ‘Work in Progress’ personality; get a pop-corn and enjoy it as a movie, as after some time it’ll only be them and their sence of decision making.
Remember: “The only way to make them prepare for life is to let them make mistakes.” or a better way to say this is: “If you want the young generation to not make mistakes, you Must first let them make mistakes; as the lessons that are learned after facing the concequencs of one’s mistakes are NEVER forgotten.
Having said that, make sure to sit with your child after every failure or sucess and ask them to recollect and reflect on ‘What they have learned from the experience?’ This will help them analyze their work, thought process and all, and altogether it will make them a great version of themselves, which eventually what you always wanted.
